With a mission to empower every New Yorker to achieve lasting food security, Food Bank For New York City connects a powerful network of food providers, community partners, and volunteers to bring vital resources to all five boroughs.

Together, we support efforts that:

• Distribute nutritious meals through a network of over 800 soup kitchens, food pantries, and campus partners

• Deliver nutrition education and tools to help families make healthy choices

• Provide financial empowerment programs that help individuals access benefits like SNAP and build long-term financial stability

Impact to Date:

• Over 1.2 billion free meals provided
• More than 1,800 local charities served
• $1 billion+ returned to communities through financial support services

• $5 - 8 lbs. of fresh apples
• $15 - 30 lbs. of fresh bananas
• $25 - 13 boxes of whole grain cereal
